Today's Radio Interviews

Mariah called in to KIIS FM in Los Angeles, California at around 8:15 this morning to promote her new single, "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time." Chatting with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K., she also talked about her Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview prior to getting up on stage for her "Summer Krush" mini-concert at Kimmel's outdoor stage on Thursday, July 31st. She said she'll be performing 4 songs at the concert, 2 of which will be aired on Kimmel's TV broadcast that night. She mentioned her Disney World visit last Tuesday, her U.S. concert tour which she said will be kicking off in November 2008, her new fragrance Luscious Pink. She also gave a shout-out to her fans, thanking them for all their support, and mentioned that "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" is the Most Added song on radio.

Mariah To Perform at Teen Choice 2008 Awards

Multi-platinum artist Mariah Carey is set to perform her new single "I'll Be Lovin' You Long Time" at TEEN CHOICE 2008. Hosted by Miley Cyrus, TEEN CHOICE celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. The coolest stars will receive coveted Teen Choice surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Male Hottie and Choice Hook-Up when TEEN CHOICE 2008 airs Monday, Aug. 4 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day for their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2008 nominees at www.TeenChoiceAwards.com.

Throughout her career, Carey has smashed recording industry records, and she recently reached another historic career achievement. "Touch My Body," the lead single from her album, E=MC, became her 18th No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. As a result, she has surpassed one of the most enduring chart records in Billboard history: Elvis Presley's 17 No. 1 singles. "Touch My Body" spent two weeks at the top of the charts and marked Mariah's 78th and 79th cumulative career weeks at No. 1. This tied Elvis' long-standing all-time high of 79 weeks at No. 1 (as calculated in Billboard). Additionally, Mariah is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 50 years of the Hot 100 (which began in 1958) with the potential to surpass the Beatles' all-time high of 20 No. 1 hits.

Hero (U.S. Maxi Single)

Even though I love Mariah I have to say hero is not one of my favorites , don't get me wrong its one of the greatest song ever written but ever Mariah herself said she not really a fan of it either but since she touched so many people with that song she can't not perform it. It's almost her signature song but anyway beside all that being said this single is a good find. The first to tracks are "Hero", The second track was recorded live for "Mariah Carey's N.B.C Thanksgiving Special" before anyone ever heard that song. That performance is the actual music video for the song. this single also includes a non album track "Everything Fades Away" witch did not make it to the album cause Tommy Matola though is sounded to R&B. I love the song, personally I think it should have made the album worldwide and not only overseas and on this single but who am I? last but not least the remix to "Dreamlover" is sick, it's Mariah sneaking in a hip-hop sound.
