Fans are looking for Mariah Carey twin photos - when will Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon release photos of the babies? Well, it sounds like Mariah and Nick are going to make fans wait just a little bit longer! Nick has shared before that he wants to maintain privacy for the twins, and Mariah agrees.
In a new interview, Mariah Carey talks about being mommy to twin babies Moroccan and Monroe, and, while she dishes on her decision to have children and Nick's role as a dad, she is also pretty clear about one thing: they are looking for privacy.
While Mariah discusses the need to balance the "glitz and glamour" of their life with "keeping them grounded", Carey says, "One thing I'm sure of is that I'll be grateful for the twins every day, no matter what." Nick, she says, "already has this natural talent with children," adding, "He's so nurturing, loving and fun. He definitely will be a hands-on dad."
On the subject of Mariah Carey sharing twin photos anytime soon, she notes, "I've been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy. It's been a long journey and it's been tough. But this is a whole new beginning and I'm beyond excited about it." Carey also shares that she's trying to take it easy, work-wise, noting, "I am looking forward to spending quality time with the babies and Nick, and that's our plan." In the absence of baby photos, who do you think the twins look like? Mariah or Nick?

Hero - Maxi Single

This is a re-post but although though I love Mariah I have to say hero is not one of my favorites , don't get me wrong its one of the greatest song ever written but ever Mariah herself said she not really a fan of it either but since she touched so many people with that song she can't not perform it. It's almost her signature song but anyway beside all that being said this single is a good find. The first to tracks are "Hero", The second track was recorded live for "Mariah Carey's N.B.C Thanksgiving Special" before anyone ever heard that song. That performance is the actual music video for the song. this single also includes a non album track "Everything Fades Away" witch did not make it to the album cause Tommy Matola though is sounded to R&B. I love the song, personally I think it should have made the album worldwide and not only overseas and on this single but who am I? last but not least the remix to "Dreamlover" is sick, it's Mariah sneaking in a hip-hop sound. Enjoy!!

Mariah Carey - A pop icon in the motion-picture world

Mariah Carey loves Capri. She loves those small restaurants, that crisp air even in wintertime, Capri's silent wilderness out of season. However, the last time she was seen on the island for the Capri, Hollywood Festival curated by her friend Pascal Vicedomini, she was certainly not alone. When we got the chance to talk to her, to spend a few moments with one of the greatest legends of contemporary pop music, she struck us as being an extraordinarily easy person, in spite of the 250 million records sold worldwide and her tremendous media presence, although she is one of the sexiest women in the world. She is now busy writing the lyrics for her new album, but we mostly talked about films, about the new film she will be appearing in and about her small and yet incisive role in Precious. And she wanted to say quite clearly that: "I don't care to be a star. I would rather play in small, independent movies, but telling a story I like. Films that people should watch because they are important".

Precious won two Academy Awards: for best supporting actress (Mo'Nique) and for best adapted screenplay. It made $50 million, five times as much as it cost. The film was awarded its first prize in Capri, the Capri Award given to Mariah Carey.

The film tells the story of an obese, illiterate young girl who suffers sexual abuse from her mother and father and lives in the ghetto of Harlem. What does such a powerful and shocking film have to do with a pop and media icon such as Mariah Carey? Nothing, on the face of it. Nonetheless, Mariah took up the challenge: she accepted to appear ugly, without make-up, wearing shapeless clothes twice her size, shabby, with a fixed gaze onto a horrible life. She plays the role of a social worker. The girl asks her: "What are you? Black, Hispanic, what?" Actually, that is a question that crosses your mind when you look at Mariah Carey. Irish, Venezuelan and Afro-American blood runs in her veins. Actually, and especially face-to-face, she is simply beautiful.

Miss Carey, you chose to play a small role in an independent film. A strong choice.
It was an instinctive choice, but a clear one too. Like with music: I consider myself more of a songwriter than a singer. I've been writing songs since I was six. I am not obsessed with my looks. Some pop stars change their look over and over again. I don't. It was the same for the film. I was looking for an interesting, powerful story, not for one that would make me look pretty.

The film deals with incestuous relationships. A very serious issue.
Yes, the film is about hard experiences in life that leave their mark on you. Films cannot merely be an escape from real life.

You are nearly unrecognizable in the film...
The film director told me: "Believe me, not even your mother is going to recognize you!". And he was right. When I watch myself on screen, I say: "Who is this woman?"

Have you been influenced by a specific period of Italian cinema?
The movies of the sixties, La dolce vita or La Ciociara of which we see a scene in Precious. I've always been moved by those films. I love classic movies, in general. The great American and Italian classics.

Which film directors would you like to work with in the future?
If I were free to choose anyone, Scorsese or Woody Allen. But I'm more interested in the film's story, in important stories. I view acting not as a whim of fancy, but as a well thought-out choice.

As is the case with Barbra Streisand or Diana Ross...
Yes, and there are other singers who are also amazing actresses.

This film conveys an image of you very different from the one we are used to seeing at your concerts.
I am Mariah at the concerts as well as in the movies. I'm interested in powerful stories that make people reflect on what they have just seen. I could even play myself in a musical, but I enjoy transforming myself into characters. I'm still learning, I don't want to take advantage of my popularity and I don't want to play the usual roles.

What do you dream of as an actress?
I dream of playing characters who are very different from me.

"W.B.T." Receives Another 'Decade' Award

.The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) hosted its 23rd annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. The star-studded event, which was attended by over 650 leading songwriters, recording artists and music industry notables honored the songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs on the 2009 R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel charts.

Top awards were handed out to:
• Songwriters of the Year (tie): Ne-Yo, C. "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream
• Song of the Decade: "We Belong Together" written by Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin and Manuel Seal

The song topped the Billboard charts, won two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and was named ASCAP Pop Song of the Year in 2006.

T.I. was on hand to present Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin, and Manuel Seal with the Song of the Decade Award for Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together."

"'We Belong Together' is a beautiful song that packs a big punch and expresses a wide range of emotions," said Tip. "The song proved to be one of the biggest triumphs of Carey's career."

Ring Pops and a Marriage Proposal Inspire Mariah Carey Fragrances

When the singer Mariah Carey and her husband, the actor and rapper Nick Cannon, appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" last September, Mr. Cannon told of how he proposed in 2008: he presented Ms. Carey with a Ring Pop, the gem-shaped lollipop on a ring. Inside the package was a proper engagement ring. Upon hearing the story, executives at Elizabeth Arden, the cosmetics company that since 2007 has sold a Mariah Carey fragrance collection, began to develop a proposal of their own.

Mariah Carey's Lollipop Bling, three fragrances that Elizabeth Arden based on candy flavors and that will appear in stores soon, is the product of a partnership with the Topps Company, which makes Ring Pops. Print advertisements for the perfume in August issues of publications like Cosmopolitan, Elle and People Style Watch will show Ms. Carey wearing three Ring Pops.

The fragrances, named after Ms. Carey's songs "Ribbon," "Honey" and "Mine Again," will be introduced by July 1 at department stores including Macy's and Dillard's, where with each purchase consumers will get a free Ring Pop.

Early next year, before Valentine's Day, when romantics flock to both the perfume and candy aisles, the fragrances will be available in mass retailers like Wal-Mart and in drug stores. There, stand-alone display racks will feature both the fragrances and Ring Pops, with the candies in a special "Bling Collection" three-pack that promotes the fragrances. Ms. Carey was not available for comment.

A one-ounce bottle of the perfume will retail for $35, the 1.5-ounce candy three-pack will cost about $1.50.

"Topps sells tens of millions of units of candy," said E. Scott Beattie, chief executive at Elizabeth Arden, which also has fragrance licensing deals with celebrities including Britney Spears, Danielle Steel and Elizabeth Taylor. "Combining their customer base with Mariah Carey's fan base and our fragrance base is a great way to cross-promote all the brands."

Since its introduction three years ago, the Mariah Carey line, with three fragrances, has grossed more than $150 million, Elizabeth Arden said.

In 2009, the company spent $5.2 million advertising the perfume, while Topps spent $750,000 advertising Ring Pops, according to Kantar Media, a unit of WPP.

Noreen Dodge, senior vice president of global marketing at the cosmetics company, said that the current fragrances draw the younger end of the singer's fan base of 18- to 45-year-olds, mostly those 18 to 24, and that the new ones will appeal to still younger fans.

"We think it will bring an even younger customer into the Mariah Carey franchise," Ms. Dodge said. The Lollipop Bling line will be advertised in youth-oriented publications where ads for the celebrity's fragrances had not previously appeared, like Seventeen and Teen Vogue. But Ms. Dodge emphasized that these "are not your typical teeny-bopper fragrances."

While the scents "take a candy element as a thread to be woven in a fragrance," they do so in a way that "elevates candy into a prestige environment," she said.

Laurent Le Guernec, a perfumer at International Flavors and Fragrances Inc. who designed the fragrances, said that while typical candy flavors like grape and banana have "cheap and very common" scents, he was able to build on the Blue Raspberry Ring Pop flavor for one fragrance, Ribbon. Into the "juiciness and sweetness notes" of that flavor Mr. Le Guernec said he layered floral notes.

While the Ribbon fragrance is reminiscent of a particular Ring Pop flavor, the other scents have notes only broadly associated with candy, like chocolate, raspberry, pineapple and honey. The new perfumes are far from juvenile, said Mr. Le Guernec, who before joining International Flavors and Fragrances designed popular scents including Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Founded in 1938 by brothers Abram, Ira, Philip and Joseph Shorin, Topps Chewing Gum, as it was known then, introduced Bazooka bubble gum in 1947, and in 1953 began including a tiny comic featuring Bazooka Joe, who was modeled after Joseph Shorin. The company introduced its popular baseball cards in 1951 and the Ring Pop in 1977.

Today the Ring Pop (tag line: "The flavor's always on hand") is turning more mouths blue than ever. Ari Weinstock, director of marketing for the confectionery division of Topps, said that the brand was forecasting record annual revenue this year. In the 52 weeks that ended May 16, it posted $14.9 million in revenue, outpacing other novelty candies like Pez and Pop Rocks, according to SymphonyIRI Group, a market data company whose totals do not include Wal-Mart.

In 2007, Topps was acquired by an investment firm led by the former Walt Disney chief executive Michael D. Eisner, who is chairman of the company. Ryan O'Hara, the former president of the TV Guide Network, was installed as chief executive in February.

Recent advertising campaigns have "played up the emotional connection that people have with Ring Pops," Mr. Weinstock said. "What we hit upon is that the Ring Pop is ultimately the only candy that you can show off, unlike a chocolate bar that you just consume," he said. "It's a candy that you put on your finger and flaunt, and it transforms you from just eating a piece of candy to being in the spotlight."

Now the brand itself will be in the spotlight, thanks to its association with Ms. Carey and Elizabeth Arden, and will provide Ring Pop samples to shoppers at retailers like Macy's, where the candy has never been sold.

"It's a case," Mr. Weinstock said, "of one plus one plus one equals 10."

Lollipop Bling, a candy-inspired trio of fragrances inspired by Mariah's marriage proposal - an engagement ring hidden inside an iconic Ring Pop package.

Each fragrance in the Lollipop Bling collection is named after one of Mariah's hit songs and is bright, sparkling and multifaceted with its own signature spin.

Twenty years ago today, Mariah Carey wrote the first chapter in what has become one of the most exceptional Billboard chart discographies. Carey's debut single, "Vision of Love", entered the Billboard Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Adult Contemporary in the issue dated June 2, 1990. The song would become her first of 18 Hot 100 No. 1s, the most among solo artists in the chart's 52-year history. Among all acts, only the Beatles, with 20, have more No. 1s.

Now a source close to Mariah and husband Nick Cannon tells RadarOnline.com the couple - who renewed their vows to celebrate their second anniversary in May - are expecting their first child. "They're both very excited and very happy," dished our insider.
When contacted, Mariah's longtime rep Cindi Berger gave RadarOnline.com a rather cryptic comment. "I'm not at liberty to discuss Mariah's personal life at this time," the publicist told RadarOnline.com, a statement that did not outwardly deny the pregnancy.
Said our insider: "Mariah and Nick want to keep the pregnancy quiet as long as they can." Which could explain why Mariah never got out of her Rolls Royce convertible during a road trip with Nick along the Malibu coastline on Saturday. She was hiding a baby bump.
Mariah and Nick got married in 2008, after knowing each other only six weeks, at the songstress' private island in the Bahamas. Carey, who won acclaim for her work in Precious, was set to appear in the adaptation of Ntozake Shange's 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Filming was set to start next month.

Aside from the previously-announced "Best Female Video" nomination, Mariah and director Brett Ratner get three more nods for "Touch My Body" at the upcoming 2008 MTV Video Music Awards set to air on September 7th at 9 p.m. ET live from the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California.

Mariah's BFF Da Brat Goes To Jail!!

Da Brat is headed to da slammer. On Friday, the 34-year-old rapper (born Shawntae Harris) was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to hitting a hostess in the head with a rum bottle, according to the Associated Press.
She was also sentenced to seven years probation, 200 hours of community service and completion of substance abuse treatment, mental evaluation and anger management classes. The rapper and a half-dozen family members all broke down after hearing the sentence.
"I love y'all," she said to her relatives as a deputy hauled her away, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports. "We love you too," her family replied in unison.
Da Brat - who was among the select few who attended Mariah Carey's surprise April wedding to Nick Cannon in the Bahamas - was at a Halloween bash at an Atlanta club last fall when she got into a fight with then-Atlanta Falcons cheerleader Shayla Stevens, who was working as a hostess. The rapper then took a nearly full bottle of rum and hit Stevens, who now has a permanent scar on her face as a result.
In 2000, Da Brat was arrested after she struck a woman at a bar. She was sentenced to 12 months of probation.

He is my other half," she declared as she toasted her husband of four months at the bash at L.A. Reid's mansion in New York's Hamptons.Since marrying on April 30 in the Bahamas, Mariah has been busy promoting her new album E=MC² - but that's not the only important project the 39-year-old singer is working on. "She really wants a baby," reveals a friend. A witness at the Hamptons party says the couple may already be trying. "They slipped away early in the night to the guesthouse where they were staying," says the source. "They couldn't keep their hands off each other."For Mariah, it's a big change of heart. A few weeks before marrying, she confessed that she wasn't ready for a baby. "It's hard to have kids in this world," she admitted. "I don't think I could properly educate a child right now. "She's so driven," the friend explains. "Work has always been her number-one priority." Mariah's Make-Up Artist Paul Starr Found Dead

A lot of times celebrities will refer to their make-up artists as their closest friends--they're not only there for the stars at those rough 6am wake up calls but prove to be confidants and advisors.

Celebrity make up artist Paul Starr, 48, who had worked with Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba and Renee Zellweger, was found dead after neighbors alerted the authorities. The cause of death is unknown at this time, according to WENN.

Starr, 48, had worked in the make-up industry for over two decades and won praise from Hollywood's elite. His works with Mariah included make-up design for The Emancipation of Mimi, as well as Playboy in 2005/2006, Glamour in 2007, and the most recent Elle photo shoot in May 2008.

Mariah Carey Plots Tour, Dispells Rocky Marrige Rumors

Even though the album came out in April, Mariah Carey is finally plotting out a tour in support of her E=MC2. "We're looking at November right now," Carey told MTV. "Please don't hold me accountable if it turns out to be December 5 or December 7 or January 18!" Before she hits the road, Carey will performed at the Teen Choice Awards on August 4th and will be performing at Fashion Rocks at NY's Radio City Music Hall on September 5th. Much like her last tour - when Carey changed her wardrobe nine times over the course of one concert (kinda like her episode of MTV's Cribs) - Mimi promises the shows will be "elaborate". As for the rumored troubles between her and husband Nick Cannon following their self-promotional shotgun wedding, Carey says the couple are "good". "Life is beautiful, and things are going well," Carey said before asking fans to just be happy for her and stop rumor-mongering.

In the interview, Mariah, who was ecstatic to be on time for a change, talked a lot about her marriage to Nick Cannon: She mentioned the tattoos they both got, and how they kept her wedding a secret by telling everyone they were going to shoot a video. Mariah said it was the first time she was in California when an earthquake occured and asked the audience "how do you guys handle that?"Jimmy asked Mariah about her new video and the experience of swimming with dolphins, which Mariah said she loves to do. Apparently, one of the dolphins Mariah swam with was a "whalphin" (part whale, part dolphin). Mariah introduced her new "Luscious Pink" bottle and Jimmy showed her his way of spraying it on, which just isn't as good as Mariah's famous "spirtz & spray". Chatting with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K., she also talked about her Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview prior to getting up on stage for her "Summer Krush" mini-concert at Kimmel's outdoor stage on Thursday, July 31st. She said she'll be performing 4 songs at the concert, 2 of which will be aired on Kimmel's TV broadcast that night. She mentioned her Disney World visit last Tuesday, her U.S. concert tour which she said will be kicking off in November 2008, her new fragrance Luscious Pink. She also gave a shout-out to her fans, thanking them for all their support, and mentioned that "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" is the Most Added song on radio.
